The CMV Complete System: Turnkey Combustion Chamber Monitoring from a Single Source

We provide more than just high-precision sensors; we deliver a fully integrated ready-to-run complete system. From mechanical protective devices to digital connectivity with your control system, you receive a solution designed for autonomous 24/7 continuous operation in the harshest industrial environments.

System Components: Maximum Safety & Full Connectivity

Our system is based on four perfectly coordinated pillars that guarantee low-maintenance and safe operation:

1. PYROINC 640F with Automatic Retraction System

To protect your investment, the camera is mounted in a robust, air-purged, and water-cooled housing unit.

  • Automatic Self-Protection: In the event of cooling media failure or exceeded threshold values, the pneumatic retraction device immediately and automatically moves the camera out of the combustion chamber.
  • Longevity: This prevents thermal damage and maximizes the service life of the optics.
2. Intelligent System Control Cabinet

The heart of hardware monitoring directly at the plant:

  • Media Monitoring: Permanent checking of cooling water flow, pressure, and purging air temperature.
  • Safety Logic: Autonomous control of the retraction unit in the event of faults in the supply network.
3. Evaluation Unit & Control System Integration

We bridge the gap between image data and process control:

  • Real-Time Analysis: High-resolution visualization and calculation of fire position, combustion zone area, and temperatures.
  • Seamless Data Transfer: Direct communication with your Distributed Control System (DCS) for fully automated optimization of grate speed or air supply.
4. Our All-Round Worry-Free Service: From Installation to Go-Live

A technically complex system is only as good as its installation. That is why we leave nothing to chance:

  • Professional Installation: Our own highly skilled specialists handle the mechanical and electrical installation on-site.
  • Precise Commissioning: We configure the system individually for your boiler type and ensure optimal communication with your process control system.
  • Instruction & Training: We train your operating personnel directly at the plant so that you can exploit the full potential of IR monitoring from day one.

FTD-2D

Gas temperature measurement

Online measurement of gas temperature distribution in combustion chamber level to optimise SNCR injection.

FTD-2D System: Tomographic Temperature Measurement for Maximum Efficiency

The FTD-2D System is our specialized solution for online operational measurement of temperature distribution within combustion chamber levels. Through tomographic data acquisition, you gain valuable real-time insights to optimize firing operations, actively reduce emissions, and extend the service life of your plant.

Your Challenges – Our Mission

In modern combustion plants, precise control of temperature distribution is the key to economic efficiency:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Continuous monitoring of minimum temperatures for legally secure compliance with statutory requirements (such as BImSchV or equivalent environmental standards).
  • Slagging Prevention: Monitoring of average and maximum temperatures at the combustion chamber outlet to protect downstream heating surfaces from deposits and fouling.
  • Thermal Symmetry: Identification and correction of extreme flame imbalances to prevent uneven thermal stress on boiler walls.
  • Intelligent SNCR Control: Optimization of nitrogen oxide (NOx) reduction through precise temperature data in the injection zone.
The Measurement Principle: Real-Time Tomography

The FTD-2D utilizes state-of-the-art radiometric methods to create a two-dimensional temperature profile of the combustion chamber plane:

  1. Radiance Measurement: Detection of soot radiation from luminous flames (NIR) or the CO2 absorption band.
  2. Tomographic Reconstruction: 6 to 12 pyrometers distributed around the circumference capture radiation in a grid-like pattern.
  3. Processing: An industrial PC handles complex tomographic calculations, archiving, and real-time connectivity to your Distributed Control System (DCS).
Technical Implementation & Advantages

Our system is strictly designed for demanding industrial use (24/7) and is characterized by its seamless integration:

  • Robust Hardware: Components built for reliable continuous operation in harsh environments.
  • Minimally Invasive: Required measurement openings of only ∅≈15…40 mm.
  • Efficient Operation: Extremely low air consumption (approx. 2 m³/h per sensor).
  • Zero Latency: Measurement is instantaneous, allowing your control system to react to process changes without delay.
  • Total Control: Intuitive display, alarm output when limit values are exceeded, and comprehensive data archiving.
Why FTD-2D?

"Through tomographic temperature distribution, we make the invisible visible. You no longer operate your boiler based on intuition, but on exact, spatially resolved measurement data."

TV-Feuerraumkamera

TV cameras for use in the combustion chamber

Water- or air-cooled furnace cameras, equipped with integrated HD cameras and specialised furnace lenses, enable continuous optical monitoring of processes within furnaces to the highest standard.

Full HD Combustion Chamber Monitoring for Extreme Conditions

Keep your high-temperature processes in view at all times – precise, digital, and secure.

Monitoring combustion processes and material throughput in industrial furnaces places the highest demands on technology. With our Full HD combustion chamber monitoring system, we offer a high-end digital solution specifically developed for use in extreme heat environments.

Maximum Insight at up to 1,800 °C (3,272 °F)

Thanks to the robust, water-cooled stainless steel probe cooling jacket, the system operates reliably in environments of up to 1,800 °C (3,272 °F). The air-purged optics, with a minimal opening diameter, ensure a permanently clear image and protect the lens from deposits.

Your Advantages at a Glance:
  • Full HD Precision: Razor-sharp images (1,920×1,080 pixels) for the precise analysis of burners, material flow, and refractory materials.
  • Variable Optics: Choose between axial or radial viewing directions with field-of-view angles between 45° and 110° to suit your requirements.
  • Smart Integration: Easy integration into existing networks via VoIP/Ethernet. Supports modern video streaming standards (H.264, MPEG-4, MJPEG).
  • Automatic Protection: An optional integrated retraction device immediately secures the camera in the event of a cooling failure.
  • Durability: Depending on the operating conditions, our probe cooling jackets achieve service lives of two to ten years.
Turnkey System Architecture

We supply more than just the camera; we provide the complete system: from the pneumatic traversing unit and automatic shutter box to media supply and archiving software.

Trust in our experience with combustion chamber monitoring. We plan, manufacture, and install your individual solution.
